Donation and Contact Information

Have you ever broken open a bee hive? Or dug into ant hill? That¹s how 445 6th Ave. South looked yesterday. With a great group from Elkay Mfg. in Savanna and Jenny Eikelberry of Jenny¹s Painting and More, along with our regular volunteers, we were able to get the entire interior of the house painted with two coats of paint, as well as getting the shutters mounted and some yard clean up finished. We had people busy in every room at once and had the whole job wrapped up in three hours! (plus some early prep work.) Thank you, Elkay. Jenny, Jean, Bob, and Davida. Work in the immediate future will be in the hands of specialists. The next call for volunteers likely will be when we work on sidewalks, the parking slab, and storage shed. I will keep you informed with as much notice as I can.

This is a hand up not a hand out

Habitat for Humanity works with volunteers to build the home. The Partner Family puts in a minimum of 350 Sweat Equity hours toward the build of the home. The Partner Family assumes a low interest mortgage with Habitat. This arrangement makes homeownership possible for those who would not quality for a traditional home loan.

We have FINISHED our 11th build!!

Thanks for your help!!
